Women's Enterprise Day - 18th November 2009

This day is all about celebrating women in business and encouraging many more to turn their passions into profit. There are around 680,000 majority women-owned businesses in the UK generating £45 billion to the UK economy. At Warwick, we will engaging groups for a day of inspiration, celebration and development with the WBS Women of Warwick group.

Sharon Wright (above), Founder of Magnamole & Dragon's Den Winner

Linda Mackay, Oriflame Uk
Linda Mackay has been working with Oriflame a Cosmetics company selling natural Swedish products since 1990. As Regional Manager for Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Northants, Derbyshire and Milton Keynes Linda has an extensive team of around 300 consultants who will turnover approx £250,000 this year.

Samantha Sierwald, Consultant at Accenture
After graduating from Nottingham University in 2005 studying Russian, German and Spanish and having spent some time in universities in Russia, Germany and Australia and then working and studying in Spain. Samatha joined the Accenture team in October 2006, and was promoted in March 2008. Since then she has worked on a high profile telecoms and global pharmaceutical company with Accenture.

Jennytha Jaj and Verity Scott, B-Side empire
Jennytha and Verity are final year Film students at Warwick. They have been working on B-Side Empire for twelve months now, building and re-building the website, expanding their network of student artists and making contacts in the creative industries, all to help support and promote students who, although studying at university, continue to pursue their creative passions.
