Global Entrepreneurship Week

‘I am delighted to be associated with Warwick Entrepreneurs and in particular with the Oriprentice competition. Entrepreneurial behaviour is truly something special. For me it is the business equivalent of being a great athlete. Great athletes may not have had the best start in life, probably have also not benefited form the best education either.Business can be taught and I personally wished I had studied this rather than chemistry! Entrepreneurs have huge belief in what they do - They have vision and passion. They do not go to work to receive a pay cheque at the end of the month. They are prepared to invest their own time, money and energy in their ideas. They are willing to take risks AND are also willing to fail. Be wary of people who have never dealt with failure!!!The key talent is judgement this in not to be confused with knowledge or experience. I have met many energetic and passionate people at Warwick and I hope to be able to offer some help and advice to help them develop their ideas and businesses.’

Warwick Entrepreneurs is one Society which can provide students with opportunities to develop these skills and many more through a comprehensive programme of events and activities.’
